After an interesting morning taking in Pike Place Market, we were heading to our next destination. The one destination we've been looking forward to for weeks.
But before we headed there, we need to stop & find some lunch somewhere. We also found out that our next destination (I will cover it soon...I promise...it's called "building suspense") was right by the the famous Space Needle.
We knew we didn't have very far to go to get there from Pike Place Market, but it was still pretty wild to turn the corner & see the Space Needle as we turned a corner:
Eventually we got parked in a nearby parking garage. We got out to make our way to find some lunch. There had to be SOMETHING around the Space Needle, right? But since we weren't sure what to do, we cringed at the thought that we might have to give into the golden arches. Bleh...
But we figured we'd walk around first to make up our minds & just make sure.
We walked by the Space Needle. No, we didn't go in...it wasn't in our plan since we didn't realize HOW close we were gonna be to it. (Bummed since I found out this is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Space Needle, built for the World Fair in Seattle back in 1962. *sigh*) But the complex area around the needle was really amazing. More street performers, too. Then we found an expo-type building that looked like may have some eatery options...thankfully.
We walked in & realized there was a bit of a food court-type area. We kind of looked around and figured a place:
Welcome to Made On Demand super fast Pizza! Personal pizzas made however you want them. Crusts were already to go & you paid just $6.88 for an 11" pizza or $3.88 for a 6" mini-mod. You could get either get a pre set topping list or you could create your own...for...the one flat rate! And they were wood fired! I was the only one who got a mini-mod...and it was gorgeous AND yummy!!
Oh...yum...looking at makes me want to go back for another!
